Art Works Show to Benefit the Richmond SPCA
Third Annual Dog Days of Summer...And Hot Cats!

Friday, August 27, 2010 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Every August Art Works partners with the art community to create a summer project and exhibit to benefit the orphaned animals cared for by the Richmond SPCA. This partnership has rasied over $2,000 for homeless animals.

This juried all-media show, opening on Friday, August 27, is all about dogs and cats. Half of all art sale proceeds will help support homeless animals. The show runs through September 19, 2010.

The August 27 opening night for this exhibit will feature:

Adoptable Richmond SPCA dogs and kitties

Pet Pantry Food Drive - Drop off a pet food or $5 donation to the bin located just inside the gallery's main door to enter to win a deluxe prize! Drawing at 9 p.m., you don't have to be present at drawing to win.

Critter Fashion Show featuring a couple of our adorable, adoptable dogs. Yours are welcome too! Second Floor. Categories include: Best Dressed, Most Artistic Flair, and Cutest Couple! $5 admission fee benefits the Richmond SPCA. 8 p.m.

Decorate your own wooden birdhouse! We'll provide the house and art supplies, you supply a $10 donation to benefit orphaned pets!

Silent Auction featuring paintings, cards, pet beds, pillows, painted birdhouses, pet goodie baskets, pottery, jewelry and more, all to benefit the Richmond SPCA! Closes at 9 p.m.

Pet treats from Three Dog Bakery.

Cash bar (wine and beer) to benefit the Richmond SPCA.

Music, Food and More!

The art show is a juried show. The gallery talk and awards are presented at 7:30 at the opening reception.

Other exhibits also opening on August 27 include In The Garden mixed media with Linda Allard, Andrew Clarke and Tara Courtland, and Fabulous Fishes Plus a Few Kitties by Michael Simon.
