Seniors for Seniors Successes

Don DaleThrough the Seniors for Seniors program, Richmond senior resident Don Dale, found his perfect feline match in Cassie. Don learned about the program on our website and visited our Robins-Starr Humane Center the day of our Dog Jog and 5K Run. Attracted by her playfulness and unique markings, Don took one look at this sweet 5-year-old calico cat and took her home.

Don now writes about Cassie's unique personality and her various activities on his personal blog. He comments that she is quite the affectionate companion and always purrs when she sees him. Another Senior for Seniors perfect match! Spring 2010.

Sonja Noullet and her husband decided to make a senior pet a part of their home after losing Buster, their beloved cat of 20 years. Upon visiting our center, the couple was eagerly greeted by Keisha, now named Hadassah, and it was love at first sight for everyone involved! Thanks to the Seniors for Seniors program, the Noullets now have a wonderful companion and 6-year-old Hadassah has a safe, loving place to call home. The Noullets, who consider 6 years to be quite a young age for a cat (we agree!), report that Hadassah has been like a part of the family since day one! Fall 2009.
