2010-2011 Mascot SIRLOIN

Every year at the Richmond SPCA's Fur Ball, which benefits our Cinderella Fund for sick, injured and neonatal orphaned animals, we auction off the opportunity to serve as our mascot for the coming year. During the 2010-2011 year, SirLoin will represent the Richmond SPCA's dogs and cats at lots of fun Richmond SPCA events as well as at other important events around town. Look for more information about this regal canine and upcoming appearances in the weeks ahead!
SirLoin's Story

SirLoin, a 4-year-old English bulldog, who is proud to represent all her four-legged friends as the Richmond SPCA's Mascot. SirLoin, or "Sir" as his family affectionately refers to him, is a 4-year-old English bulldog who is proud to represent all of his four-legged friends as the Richmond SPCA's Mascot. His favorite activities include chasing balls, riding in cars, playing with tug toys and spending time with his doting family. As you can imagine, this fun-loving canine draws a crowd everywhere he goes thanks to his winning personality and his handsome good looks. He is a very secure and confident dog, and his guilty pleasure is a spoonful of ice cream before bed each night.

Sir thrives on attention from humans, and his parents Kate and Bryan Stark, share with us that he is the first to greet guests at the door at home. He possesses a cat-like curiosity and is particularly independent. He enjoys trips to Stony Point and to Heartfields of Richmond Assisted Living on Monument Avenue, where his visits draw applause by the residents. Sir also delights in swimming in the family pool as long as he is wearing his fashionable flotation device.

Other Fun Facts About SirLoin
