Street Manners
Instructor: Alisha Fritz

Thursday, December 6, 2018 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Instructor: Alisha Fritz- Street Manners is a 7-week intermediate* level manners course with a focus on skills needed in the real world, especially during walks.  There will be a strong emphasis on leash pulling and dealing with distractions.  This class is especially beneficial for dogs who have difficulty responding to their handler outside of the home. This class is not appropriate for most reactive dogs. Reactive dogs (those who frantically bark, pull, and lunge towards other dogs, moving objects, or people while on walks) who have had training to address this specific behavior may be allowed to attend with permission from the instructor: afritz@richmondspca.org  *Prerequisite: Canine Manners or another basic manners class strongly recommended.  Dogs should have been introduced to sit, down, stay, come, and leave it. All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and at least 6 months old. Spaying or neutering is strongly recommended. Classes are held in Smoky’s Training Center which is accessed from our 3rd parking lot. The first class is for HUMANS ONLY.

Please Note: There will be no class on December 27th.  An additional class has been added to the schedule.
