Running Buddy Program
A dog will never critique your form or laugh at your running apparel. Get off the couch or keep up your training and give our dogs a wonderful chance to stretch their legs. Each Saturday, sometimes on Sunday, we'll have a 7 a.m. run for advanced and intermediate runners. Beginning runners are invited to join us at 8:15 a.m. If a more leisurely stroll is your style, join us for a walk at 9:30 a.m. RSVP online as participation is limited. View our calendar to sign up for an upcoming run. Weekday runs are also a regular staple, but dates and times vary, so check the calendar often! Our newest run is a 10K early morning run every Tuesday.

July Volunteer of the Month - Jessica Kirwin
Jessica has been volunteering with the Richmond SPCA for two years. She lends a helping hand in many areas, and is always willing to do a bang up job of performing as our Humane Education Mascot Waggles! The next time you meet Waggles give him a big hug as there's a good chance it's Jessica! When we have a last minute event, she always tries to work us into her schedule. Employees and fellow volunteers know Jessica as someone who is loyal and devoted to the organization, and always professional and reliable. There aren't many people who are willing to dress up in a hot furry suit in the middle of summer, but Jessica always does it with spirit and energy, knowing how much it means to all of the kids. Thanks to Jessica for all the love and support. Our staff and animals appreciate her time and energy!
