About the Dog Jog and 5K Run
All events are pet friendly except for the 5K Run, which is for people only. Participants may register individually or as part of a team, and have the option of raising donations to help support the pets cared for by the Richmond SPCA. In 2008 this event raised more than $100,000 for their care, and we look forward to meeting or exceeding that goal in 2009! Registered participants can customize their own fundraising web pages and send e-mails to friends and family. Raising donations is easier than you might think, and top fundraisers will earn great prizes! We welcome all Richmond SPCA supporters to come out, cheer on our runners and walkers, and visit our vendor fair and hospitality garden. All events take place at our Robins-Starr Humane Center, located at 2519 Hermitage Road in Richmond, Virginia.
