In 2009 this event, presented by Car Pool Car Wash & Detail, raised more than $108,000 for the orphaned animals cared for by the Richmond SPCA. We look forward to meeting or exceeding that success in 2010, with a fundraising goal of $115,000!
The event will feature a timed, competitive 5K Run that's welcome to runners of all levels (9:30 a.m.), a fun, stroller- and pet-friendly 1-mile Dog Jog (11 a.m.), an awards ceremony sponsored by Haley Pontiac-GMC, and the Holiday Barn Pet Resorts Vendor Fair, featuring activities for kids and pets, music, a walk-up microchip clinic ($20), and lots of cool vendors (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.). Our adoption center and Lora Robins Gift Shop will also be open.
All events are pet friendly except for the 5K Run, which is for people only. Participants may register individually or as part of a team, and have the option of raising donations to help support the pets cared for by the Richmond SPCA. You do not have to be a registered participant to attend the vendor fair or to visit our center on the day of the event. All activities take place at our Robins-Starr Humane Center, located at 2519 Hermitage Road in Richmond, Virginia. We hope to see you there! Questions? Call 804-521-1308 or e-mail info@richmondspca.org.
Raising donations in support of this event, while optional, is easier than you might think. Top fundraisers will earn great prizes and any registered participant may customize their own fundraising web pages and send e-mails to friends and family.
