News release: Richmond SPCA opening Clinic for Compassionate Care, providing full-service veterinary care at low cost
The Clinic for Compassionate Care is a full-service veterinary clinic providing high-quality care at a low-cost for pets of income-qualified families in the Greater Richmond region (Richmond City and the Counties of Hanover, Henrico, Chesterfield and Goochland). Our mission is to ensure that families of all means have access to treatment options they can afford for their canine and feline companions. As an expansion of the Richmond SPCA's pet-retention services, the Clinic for Compassionate Care will help pets stay with their families while enjoying a greater quality of life.
In addition to caring for pets of income-qualified families, the Clinic for Compassionate Care will also provide treatment for pets in the custody of area municipal pounds and shelters, pets adopted from the Richmond SPCA on or after March 5, 2012, pets of former Wellness Clinic clients, pets of Richmond SPCA employees and pets referred to the clinic by other veterinarians.
The Clinic for Compassionate Care is not presently able to provide emergency services. If your dog or cat has a medical emergency, please contact your local 24-hour emergency clinic.
